eat local, grow local
The Food Challenge is taking the lead in the 'Eat and Grow Local' area of the Brand New Forest stand at this year's New Forest Show (26, 27 & 28 July). The display will be based around a garden complete with plants, trees, sheds and some chickens.....
I'd like to construct a varied programme of activities to attract people and involve them in lots of different aspects of local and sustainable food. Ideas so far include hay box cooking, juicing demos, film screenings, making bag gardens and so on.
There are two tickets per day available for Food Challenge members to take up and help with the stand so if you'd like to help just let me know. And if you have ideas for activities please put them forward.
Hopefully, by making the stand really interesting we can involve people who wouldn't normally think about food in this way and raise the profile of the important issues.
Many thanks
Richard
