Well it's only a little tree, but wow is it loaded with plums this year.

Have just picked 2 colanders full of plums, currently making jam with them. Stones are in some muslin simmering with the fruit to get the most pectin out and then I can turn it into jam.

Bought my first Kilner jars from Lakeland, a good investment for the future. Bought the 1Ltr jars as I can then bottle some plums. Also stocked up on new 1lb and .5lb jars too plus some white lids. Great for pressies or for friends to buy.

Will be interesting to see what I can make from plums, been investigating the net, my cookbooks and friend's recommendations.

If you have any good recipes for preserving plums, please let me know.

We like cheese!

I tried the cheese from the Fernhill Cheese Company and went back for more! Soft, creamy and fresh, the children liked it too. Worth stopping at their stall at Lymington Saturday Market just opposite St Thoma's Church.
