Wordling

While pootling around the WWW I found Wordle. It's a web site that creates word clouds. One way to use it is to point it at a web site and it generates a cloud based on the content of the site. The result is an image that captures in text the feel of the web site. Here's the Food Challenge forum Wordle:

Packeting seeds for the VegEvent

We love Runner Beans and our favourite variety is Wisley Magic, we save lots of seed every year.

This year we have more than ever so that means we have plenty spare for the seed swap at the VegEvent. Thankfully Runner beans are not promiscuous, they tend to self pollinate and so come 'true' from home saved seed, even if you grow other beans in the garden. Watch out for sneaky Jack Frost

This long spell of cold weather is allowing the frost to sneak into places where it really shouldn't get. Our potatoes were stored in an old animal shed inside wooden and plastic bins covered with hessian sacks and bubble wrap. I say they were stored there because we have now moved them into a cool room in the house. I lifted the lid on one of the bins to get some spuds out and noticed ice crystals on the Swedes at the top of the bin. Alarm bells rang and emergency action was… Continue

Copper tools to appear at the VegEvent 2010

Forgive me but I will be writing about the few, selected retailers who will be supporting the VegEvent 2010. I have carefully selected products that are essential and where possible local. It's a happy fact that to grow-your-own you don't need to spend much, I've tried to focus on the basics like, seeds and tools that you do need.

I'm a sucker for beautifully made hand tools.

I enjoy using garden tools that are well made and well… Continue
