The Food Challenge are giving away 50 rhubarb plants over the next couple of weekends, so come and find our stall.

Cornish Farmers Markets Defy the Recession

Whilst holidaying down in the West Country over the Easter break, I picked up the local ne wspaper. On the front page, first story, was the headline:

New Garden Share for SO41 area

Transition Lymington have started to set up a local Land Share scheme for the SO41 area. So far we have been offered a garden in central Lymington and are looking for a gardener ideally within walking or cycling distance of the garden.

Plot details: There is currently approximately 5 x 6m grass area plus an additional 5 x 2m clearable area (brambles and shrubs) so some work is neccessary to prepare the land for growing vegetables. A photo is attached. The garden owner is hoping for…

We like cheese!

I tried the cheese from the Fernhill Cheese Company and went back for more! Soft, creamy and fresh, the children liked it too. Worth stopping at their stall at Lymington Saturday Market just opposite St Thoma's Church.
