New Additions at Braxton Gardens

Since reopening Braxton Gardens in Milford on Sea during May 2011 Simon and Sarah Relph’s plans are going from strength to strength. The tea room, run by Sarah, has been renamed Muffins Galore!, and now serve homemade muffins, cream teas, plain, fruit & gluten free scones and light lunches. Vegetable and Fruit - Stories for children

My children used to love this book, its called Eddie's Garden and how to make things grow. If you are thinking of planting beans, pumpkins, flowers, carrots etc.. this book really inspires, and so does Eddie's little sister Lily!

How to waste less seeds (or should that be fewer seeds)

It was such a rank day yesterday that Sue and I bit the bullet and had a purge on our assorted boxes of veg and flower seeds. Some of the seeds had sell-by dates going back 5 or 6 years! What a relief to get shot of so many half used, mouse-nibbled, sunlight-faded packs of faded potential - but sad too because we threw out many tens of ££ value and the resource had been wasted.
