Gardening Books available for borrowing
Those nice people at New Forest District Council have bought New Forest Transition some books to lend out to people. The money came from something called the Rural Pathway Fund....
Getting them to people is always a bit of a challenge but if you'd like to borrow any of the titles below just let me know. In the longer term if anyone has any clever suggestions as to how we can deal with the growing number of resources we have for lending out then please shout! As well as food books…

Reclaiming the Field
I came across this blog today and thought I ought to share it. It's written by Charlotte du Cann from Transition Norwich and it reports on a conference held in East Anglia a few weeks ago. The great and the good (and not so good!) were gathered to consider the future of our food supplies.
I'd urge you to read it because it encapsulates many of the key issues we are facing and, for me, shows me why things like the New Forest Food Challenge are so important.....…

That all means we have to grow even more to feed ourselves and the Voles, I think there's a vicious circle going on here. There's no sign…

The weekly newsletter asked what we are up to...?
Well, in the garden I am on a big slug removal drive! I am also deciding on which seeds to plant this year. I have some raspberries, loganberries and blackcurrants I want to plant out this weekend, and really, looking for some more time to do everything in!
On the local food front, have a nice bottle of NF cider to open later this evening...
What about you?
