Please check out my page I have uploaded photo's of cakes I have designed! Please leave me feedback!
Michelle, Hi
Writing something for foodtalk should be as easy as writing on my wall, but let me know if you have any probs.
I can already see five photos of yours up on the site, a tractor, pepper pig cake, 2 of a lovely cake with red roses and a tall 3 tier wedding cake. They look amazing and the colour of the roses just fantastic.
There a number of markets around, although their attendance can be very fickle. There is a group who run one set by themselves - I think they do Lyndhurst, Beaulieu, Plaitford and Everton - once each a month http://www.newforestfarmersmarkets.co.uk . Sandy Balls Holiday centre run their own, and have their own dates. Hale village have the own food market once a month. Sway village have their own market - not just food - once a month.
There is also a couple - Mr and Mrs Pook who run markets in Dorset and the Forest - and I think they go to Brockenhurst and Burley locally... http://www.bestindorset.co.uk/ As I say they are very fickle in their attendance and can range from very quiet to very busy. I would visit a few of them first to have a look around.
Might be worth finding a local shop, bakers, cafes too as a continuous outlet for smaller cakes?
Sarah
Michelle, Hi
Welcome.
Yes, it looks like you are managing to upload pictures OK. They look fantastic.
If you want to write something on the Food Talk part of the website, it will be visible to everyone. People can then also write comments against what you have written. So, if you want to find so local markets, or a local egg supplier or a local cafe who might want to sell your cakes etc... you just have to ask.
Where abouts in the forest are you based?
Sarah
Michelle, Hi
Please tell us more about New Forest Cakes!
Sounds yum...
