- Why do you think local food production is important?
- fresher therefore better for us, not in chilled storage for ages and under-ripe,lower food miles.
There's also the possibility that we might start thinking about 'what's seasonal' rather than just buying whatever the supermarket offers - ie the same every week.

I could potentially demonstrate bread baking.
Of course there is not enough time to bake bread in 40 minutes - but I
could show how sourdough is made, kneading the dough, shaping the dough, etc.
And potentially we could then leave it to rise for a few hours and bake it in
the centre's ovens (depending on timing of the demo).If you get someone more exciting then fine. but if you have the space I am

I tried the cheese from the Fernhill Cheese Company and went back for more! Soft, creamy and fresh, the children liked it too. Worth stopping at their stall at Lymington Saturday Market just opposite St Thoma's Church.
