Unfortunatly it has meant as we cant store veg for a week we have not been shopping as locally as we would like for some time now as the farm shops are closed when we return…See More

Our progress

Now we are a few months in and the initial enthusiasm has lost some of its momentum I have been thinking about how our lives and routines have changed over the last few months.

The growing has been great. Yields have been low but I expected that this year as the land requires a lot of humic material added to it. Taking responsibility for growing some of our own food, and learning the important skills this encompasses, has been rewarding and we have had several meals that contained… Continue

and finally as of last night to this....…

Posted on May 3, 2009 at 19:41 1 Comment

We started our more localised shopping last week.

I guess in part due to a mixture of not knowing the best place's to go and also because the farm shops tend to be shut… Continue

We like cheese!

Posted by Margaret K Marsh on April 9, 2013 at 10:42 0 Comments

I tried the cheese from the Fernhill Cheese Company and went back for more! Soft, creamy and fresh, the children liked it too. Worth stopping at their stall at Lymington Saturday Market just opposite St Thoma's Church.
