Richard left a comment for Ian GIan, Hi
Are you still looking for a vineyard in the New forest? I have just had a reply back from Tim Phillips, he has planted some vines in a walled garden, and reckons with this hot weather we are having, he should be harvesting in the next couple of weeks. The reason he didn't get back to me is that he has two other vineyards, one in S Africa and one in Italy, and he has been out there. The business name is Charlie Herring (dot com) where you can see his three local projects.
If you want to get in touch with him, I can forward you his email or you can email via the website info@
cheers,
Sarah

There are also a few farms - Sunnyfields Organic Farm, run by Ian Nelson, they also have a fully stocked shop of local and/or organic produce.
There are a couple of farms up in the north of the forest - Sopley Salads at Badgers Farm, and one at Sopely Farm - very confusing - but apparently both good.
Also, some old green houses have just been taken over - Dan's Sway shop - where they are growing heaps of local organic food. The manager there is Laurence, and he is often on this website, so you should be able to contact him. See someone's blog here
Oh, and of course there is Ringwood Brewery, New Forest Cider and Setley Ridge Vineyard!
There is even a really small vineyard, just planted a couple of years ago in a walled garden, lovely location, just up the road from me. He might be interested?

Ian, Hi
That sounds great. I will also put you intouch with another Sarah, Sarah Richards, who manages the New Forest Marque, which means that produce labelled as such, has to have at least 25% New Forest Produce - www.newforestproduce.co.uk
There are a few initial thoughts for people to contact -
Claire Lee - Spice n Easy - chutneys etc.. just won an award
3 cheese companies - Sway Goat Dairy, Lyburn and Loosehanger - all award winners I think?
Steph Lowe - New Forest Biscotti - double baked biscuits - yum!
Also lots of honey, egg and strawberry producers/growers.
Come and see them!
Sarah

I tried the cheese from the Fernhill Cheese Company and went back for more! Soft, creamy and fresh, the children liked it too. Worth stopping at their stall at Lymington Saturday Market just opposite St Thoma's Church.
