"Glad you liked the marrow recipe Sandra, I should have mentioned that of course it could be cooked on top of the stove too, but if you have the oven on anyway then it is a good dish to fill up the space in there."

"Tasty Marrow Slice up some marrow into small wedges place in a greased dish, sprinkle over grated fresh ginger, grated nutmeg, sea salt and black pepper. You need to add a little water too. Cover with foil or preferably a lid. Cook until softened."

We have just been away for a fortnight and we were so excited about the produce in our garden when we got home, it had all made all sorts of growth and we have lots on mange tout to pick for lunch tomorrow. The spinach is coming on well, and our salad leaves. Even the corriander has made an appearance. The leeks have got stronger, the beans are climbing the poles, and the sweetcorn is getting taller. Our raspberries are ripening off, I was worried that they would all be ready when we were away. The only thing that isn't progressing very well are the tomatoes, and I think they don't like the compost they were sown in. The courgette plants have doubled in size too. So we are very happy that it is all doing very well, can't wait to eat it.
