We had such a great day out! I am the person in red, with the sun hat on. It got unexpectedly hot and sunny, and I not one for standing around in the sunshine for too long. The Village of Martin was charming, we were made to feel very welcome, and it was very interesting to have a look at the Future Farms project. Oh how I wish I could start something like that here in Brockenhurst! I am touting my ideas around, and hope to join the next meeting of the Transition Group.
Yesterday's event at St. Saviours Church Hall, as part of the "Mainly Women's Week" was also extremely interesting. We had speakers from the Brockenhurst Allotment Association, WI, Debbie Lockey gave an intersting talk, and in the afternoon we were treated to a lecture by Patrick from the Transition Group. Another great day.
Best wishes, Helga Parker
